Cholesterol is a waxy, fatty molecule that aids in the production of several hormones, vitamin D, and cell membranes in our body. Our liver and the meals we eat are the two places where our blood gets its cholesterol from.

Fatty deposits might form in one’s blood vessels if one’s cholesterol is excessive. Such deposits might rupture abruptly and create a clot, which results in a heart attack or stroke.

Here are some food items needed in increasing good cholesterol levels:

CHIA SEEDS

Chia seeds are an excellent source of fiber, plant-based omega-3 fatty acids, and other beneficial elements. Including chia seeds in your diet may lower LDL cholesterol and blood pressure.

WALNUTS

Omega-3 fatty acids, a subclass of monounsaturated fatty acids with heart-protective properties, make up the majority of the fat in walnuts. Walnuts thereby enhances good cholesterol, and lower total blood cholesterol.

SOYBEANS

As the meat substitute for vegetarians, soybeans are bursting with protein, fiber, and healthy unsaturated fat. It also helps in reducing one’s cholesterol level.


Enhancing good cholesterol levels is one strategy to lower bad cholesterol levels. One can therefore achieve this by giving up unhealthy lifestyle behaviors like smoking and drinking and increasing the intake of nutrient-dense foods.
