Trailblazer Honoured by NSASA Press for Exceptional Academic Performance

Earning a noteworthy admiration, Adetunji Samson Oluwafisayo, a 400 level student of department of Sociology with a CGPA of 3.60 stands as a recognized personality for academic excellence today. He is popularly known as Karl Marx and He is currently the President of the sociology department.

Samson has shown diligence to his studies and dedication to the department beyond grades. His exceptional academic support to the department has been one for the books. He has a remarkable record of maintaining a first class grade from his 100 level days and this is a clear testament of his relentless pursuit for knowledge.

Balancing academics with extracurricular activities has not been smooth for Samson, but he has dedicated himself to tutoring 100level students despite his personal hurdles. His style of tutoring has earned him a description as a thinker who brings clarity to complex study issues through his understandable explanation and examples.

Samson has served as the vice president of the department and is still serving as the President. Of course, one would think that the workload should have affected his grades, however he still sits comfortably on the table of excellence. He credits this to his foundation on setting priorities based on urgency. He has been on the Dean’s roll of honor award list and has been awarded by the Student Union as 'Most academically inclined'.
