On May 27, the Sociology department had a second match against History. Being the only department of the faculty of the Social Sciences without a loss in their record, the pressure was certainly high. But the players were determined to bring the medal back home.
The match started by 12:30pm with great energy from the History team as they pressed early creating several scoring opportunities. The Sociology department held a strong defence against every trial.

During the first half, there was a narrow escape for the History department during a corner kick where the player played over the goal post and this was of great benefit to the Sociology department. After this push, Sociology department played right into the goal post of History department but the ball was unexpectedly caught by the goal keeper. The struggle thereafter continued till the end of the first half.
The second half started by 1:09pm and Sociology players came back with great energy, ready to make a big move. The hope was indeed high. Hearts were racing. Expectations were heightened. But everything came crashing down when History players took a lead with a goal.

Hope still hung on the tip as Sociology fought to equalize and History fought to score another goal. The tense atmosphere at the field led to few injuries to players.
Finally, hope thawed away when the referee blew the last whistle and the history department emerged as the winners of the match. The game indeed ended on a sad note for Sociology however, Nsasities must not lose hope but continue to support these players for a strong comeback.
