As the world cup competition began in Qatar, the biggest football event in the world, which will
end on December 18th 2022, will witness the performance of two Nigerian Artistes, Kizz Daniel and Patoranking whose real name is oluwatobiloba Anidugbe performing at the tournament .
For Daniel, this is a dream come true, as the „Cough‟ singer had taken to his twitter page months earlier to write that he wished to perform his hit song, „Buga‟ at the tournament. He wrote on June 22nd “ God, I want to perform „Buga‟ for the world cup with a mass choir. Help me say "Amen”.
A few months later, he performed at the opening ceremony of the games. Reggae-dance hall singer, Patoranking, whose name is Patrick okorie, was scheduled to perform at the AI Bidda Park in the country‟s capital, Doha, on November 28, 2022. The „Girlie o‟ crooner has undoubtedly carved a niche for himself with his style of Music.
Born and raised in Ijegun –Egba, Lagos state, he started his entertainment career as a dancer. The singer also seems to be an ardentlover of Football. He stated that he got the inspiration for one of his songs, „Abule‟ while playing Football.
Chukwuma ifeanyi, better known as Ckay will join his Nigerian counterparts to perform at the tournament too. In an interview with Al-Jazeera, the singer stated that he was excited to be one of the artists that would be performing at the world cup. He had said, “Even though we (Nigeria) did not qualify for the world cup; at least, there is still Nigeria‟s representation in the area of Music.
BUGA TO THE WORLD
The transformation of the Afro-beat singer is a big win to the Nigerians, Kizz Daniel, one of the
top most listened music artiste in Nigeria released BUGA on 3rd May 2022.
Since the release of The song which can be translated in Yoruba to “being proud”, can we now say the artiste is proud for real after the artiste was claimed to have failed to show up in a concert organized in Tanzania due to his missing necklace?, This aside, the transformation and recognition of the artiste since he released the hit track.
The double decade artiste has also made Nigeria and Africa at large “BUGA PROUD” after he was shortlisted among African artiste who performed at the Qatar world cup 2022.

2022, Nigerians and people around expressed their feelings towards the success story of the
Artiste. "Congratulations for working so hard even in a country whose Government has just a little or nothing to offer talents Development and Discovery” a twitter user reacted @ pci for president.
Truman a twitter user, also reacted “ He is a role model to a lot of youths out there”.
Reality chaser, added “ We are proud of him for making Nigeria Proud”.
