Money, The Fleeting Visitor

Writer's picture: NSASA PressNSASA Press

Where did you go?

Why did you leave so fast?

This is the tale of every hands that this visitor has touched.

Money is a fleeting visitor,

Too quickly it leaves, Too quickly it runs out.

Money is a fleeting visitor

So stay ready, when it visits, your house must be steady,

Let your head be pregnant with plans and ambitions,

That’s how you plan an ambush waiting to devour this visitor.

Because if you don't have yourself ready, you wouldn't notice when it leaves.

The advice is to prepare a welcome party but have a lasting plan too,

Sometimes, if this visitor isn't welcomed properly, he would run away in a blink

But when received dearly, he stays long enough to resent you.

He'd feel too used for the right reasons,

He’d feel exchanged for investments that would yield more of him in the future.

That's the only time he stays.

He chooses to abide with wise hosts, those who know his tricks and schemes.

Well over here,

He doesn't stay too long.. he stays short enough for you to feel him and he goes.

He solves our little needs and leaves us before we can ever attempt to buy our dreams...

He fuels our bellies with food but doesn't quench the hunger for more

Over here, before he comes, he is spent and we always stop to ask...

Where did he go?
