Nigeria's season has definitely been cray cray and it seems as confused as we are. First, it was an 'harmattan' that we didn't understand. Like... Harmattan babe. it's okay to lose a chance... only for us to find out that it was an extreme form of air pollution. I hope you used your nose mask.
It was a bit chaotic - nose blocked, throats coarse from coughing and sneezing noses. A lot of us took Vitamin C. Piritin, Face towel, and the likes. We couldn't even slay in our sleeveless tops. It was either we go hard or we go home.
We had been trying to raise awareness for the pollution when the weather went on a switcharoo and now, it feels like a dam of hot coal was open.
Now, it's all intense with the urge to drink water like an ostrich and go out with just a tank top and some shorts. Jk, dress appropriately for all events.
One thing you should invest in is a handfan. An electric fan is really good but it's high maintenance and a little on the high price now. If it would be a srain on your budget, just go for a handfan. It's really cute and portable, its flat structure enabling it to fit almost anywhere.
You should get a water bottle too. With a bottle of water being #150, just get a good bottle you have at home, buy satchet water or whatever you drink, and fill it in. Trust me, you wouldn't regret it, because #150 × 30 = #4500. Your call though.
Also, please get a face towel and a good deodorant too. This is the worst time to choke a class of 500 in an LLT with fermented sweat.
Wash well and spray twice as much as you would, before. Please do the world and favour and stop the pandemic of body odour. The face towel definitely helps you to look boujie and neat.
This is the season of light clothes, amigo. Stick to those, stay hydrated and enjoy life. You need all these to withstand the punches of UI. Stay indomitable!
